Carlingford produces a moderately firm tuber when cooked with
a distinctive flavour and free from after cooking blackening.
Carlingford is ideal for the canning, punnet, salad and new potato market.
Carlingford consistently produces higher yields of small even
sized tubers compared to Maris Peer. Carlingford has the
further advantage of far superior resistance to Common scab,
PVY and Skin spot. Carlingford has good ability to initiate
tubers even at low light levels. Carlingford grows well under
fleece with little or no reduction in tuber numbers.
